I get infusions for my Arthritis, and the head nurse,Connie was 1 of the nurses who was giving Gord his infusions in Ontario before we got too weak to continue. She said she never let on that she knew who he was. And thru everything Gord was going thru, he was the sweetest human being she had ever met in the life. I feel a small connection to Gord thru my nurse. ❤🙏

I think of Gord a lot.

Downie was a weird, quirky, amusing guy who was a stellar lyricist and a great, interesting vocalist. I'm a Canuck and I just always thought that his bandmates seemed as though they were in a completely different group. They all looked average and they all had what my twin brother and I used to call "stupo hair". Their musicianship was solid, but I can't help but think that Gord deserved better. He had the vibe of someone who, with a better band name and mates who fit his energy, an international legend.
